Spires
The world is my oyster? Well that’s not enough
My mind is castles, with spires reaching up
They pierce the atmosphere and escape our insignificance
They are infinite, ever-growing, changing, learning
They have morphed into the stars
The galaxy is their home, yet firmly rooted into Earth
Each floor is a new me, layers growing into infinity
Metamorphosis
I move along the spiral stairs, never tiring, I’m floating
There are no walls, just stars outside
They beckon me and I wave back
I know them all by name, I’ve lived here for so long
They shine for me and I dance for them
Their flickering is my beat, my song
These stairs are infinite and I want to keep climbing
It's never enough, I want to see more
Who would settle for an oyster when the ocean is still unexplored?
